Today marks the start of the Guardian’s book swap – they are leaving 15,000 books across the UK and providing book plates with this weekend’s Guardian and Observer newspapers. If you’re participating, remember that there are already some dedicated book swap sites in London where you can drop off your books.
There have been some great articles and this comment thread which show just how popular book swapping is.
This comment on the ‘Book forest of Berlin’ from a Guardian user was great, as it got us thinking about whether or not we could have something similar in London.
What do you think? Could we have book trees in Covent Garden and Oxford Circus? We’d like to think so!
