Tonight’s Evening Standard is promoting a joint initiative between themselves, the IPPR and the newly minted Centre for London. Ahead of the first London Policy Conference (12-13 December), they are using Twitter to collect ideas about how to make London a better place, and the top 10 will be presented at the conference.
Naturally, we reckon that putting book swaps into most of the tube and train stations in London is a good idea, so we’d love for you to vote for us (pretty please!). All you have to do is retweet this tweet:
If we get enough retweets, then we’ll get picked up and be able to present our book swapping plans to the great and the good! Then we’ll be one step closer to getting even more Londoners reading and discovering new books.
More info about #ideas4Mayor is here. It’s a great initiative, and it’ll be interesting to see what Londoners come up with – we’re certainly never short of ideas!
