Book swapping in London, News

Update: Book swapping in Reading and take our survey!

It’s been a busy week here at Book Swap towers! Yesterday we finished the job we began on Monday of taking the books from the 1st to the 6th floor of OPEN Ealing. We had lots of help, so it didn’t take long. And this is what we have now:

We’re going to spend the next few months giving these to people who want and need them. We have already had requests from the people who run the Wimbledon and Raynes Park book swaps for some books to help keep them going.

All the books are listed in a Google Document  – have a look and let us know if you want some!

In our next step, if you’re part of a community organisation we want to hear from you! We’ve put together a survey to find out which community groups are keen to run book swaps in their local train and tube stations. Click here to take the survey.

Finally, we’ve also had stirrings of book swapping outside London. The East Reading Community noticeboard has been tweeting their support for book swapping – so if you live in Reading and want to get involved, give them a shout. We’re also hoping to give them some of our books as well to get them started.
